How VR GO works

The technology is based on the principle of associating real and virtual movement between the person and their digital avatar. The user intuitively understands how to control the avatar's movements. Here, the principle of the ideomotor phenomenon is applied: as soon as there is an idea of movement, nerve impulses appear that provide it. This can help to form new neural networks to construct human movements.

Ideomotor phenomenon is mental or any other representation of the action (e.g. observation of the action) that results in the activation of motor programs. Motor programs are responsible for the implementation of action in the brain

A neural circuit is a population of functionally and structurally organized neurons and glial cells. The complex is involved in the processing of certain information (e.g. processing sensory information, implementation of motor programs)

VR App Prototype

The prototype application is based on the Oculus VR platform. The user can exercise either in a medical facility or at home, which allows patients to continue their rehabilitation course when hospitalization comes to its end. Also, the mobile application for Android and iOS is currently during its release stage. The app will make the rehabilitation process more flexible.

Why VR GO?

  • Affordability
Everyone who has a smartphone from the mid-price segment or an Oculus VR Headset can use our app
  • Scientific approach
This software uses the latest scientific research findings in neurophysiology and rehabilitation
  • Product development
We plan to produce a suit with myostimulation and a wireless electromyograph module
  • Unique method
People with almost any severity of locomotor deficiency can interact with the program

Efficiency of technology

The effectiveness of the technology has been proven by tests: 60% of participants reported positive changes in their condition. Changes occurred not only in locomotor activity, but also in the psycho-emotional state of the participants.
PATIENT
Benefits for patients
Increases motivation
Pilot tests of the program system show that the use of gaming technologies arouse great interest in users towards training
Regular training
The user can choose the time of training and adjust their speed and duration
Restoring neuron connections
The locomotor centers of the brain and spinal cord, which form new neural connections, are involved in rehabilitation
Training program
Stimulation of the central nervous system through training is necessary at all stages of rehabilitation.
The sooner the patient starts a rehabilitation program, the better and faster their recovery will be. Follow-up home training will allow patients to reinforce and improve the results.
