Samara State Medical University Samara State Medical University in association with the Engineering and Marketing Center of JSC Vega Corporation (part of the holding company “Ruselectronics” of conglomerate Rostec) showcased a product line of medical rehabilitation equipment as part of the largest project in the field of healthcare in Russia—“Healthcare 2018”.

At the collective exposition of Russian manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical devices “PharmMedProm”, two products that aid rehabilitation were presented: a neurological stimulator ReviVR to restore motor functions after stroke, and ReviMotion for the rehabilitation of children with various types of locomotor issues, including for children with cerebral palsy.

On the first day of the exhibition, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsyb, Deputy Chairman of Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Oleg Bochkarev, Chairman of Commission on Pharmaceuticals and Medical Industry Yuri Kalinin, Deputy Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation Evgeny Kamkin and the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kurochkin got acquainted with the technologies.

“During the Russian Healthcare Week, we demonstrated high-tech projects based on the use of digital technologies, which we are ready to develop quickly. At the same time, we hope that our projects will be supported by public authorities. We plan to expand the line of rehabilitation-aimed projects. Our technologies are in great demand because stroke is the third largest cause of death after cardiovascular diseases and cancer in our country,” said Director General of the Engineering and Marketing Center of JSC Vega Corporation Alexander Kulish.

“Our cooperation with the holding company “Ruselectronics” is an example of an effective interaction between a university and industry, when science works for a real sector of the economy. We began mass production of the products for medical and social rehabilitation that were developed at the university. At this time, hospitals and rehabilitation centers in the Samara region and Moscow are equipped with our simulators,” commented Alexander Kolsanov, Director of the Innovative Development Institute of Samara State Medical University, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Visitors of the exhibition have the opportunity to experience the high-tech hardware-software systems ReviVR and ReviMotion. The International Forum “Russian Healthcare Week” will be held December 3-7 at the Expocentre. The joint exposition of Russian manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical devices “PharmMedProm” is located in the second pavilion.
